Comments: Many will look at our report card on Commissioner Jimmy Conner and accuse us of selling out, but like a bad student who has all of a sudden excelled in the class – Conner has changed for the positive. Sure, Jimmy is Jimmy, and he pontificates too much, but on the major issues since November, he has been on the right side. He truly is the most aggressive on balancing the budget, and he now understands that economic growth is paramount. His actions have spoken louder than his words.
And why pray-tell do you want to change the comp plan? Could it be that you have ulterior motives yourself? Are you too a developer, realtor, land-use attorney, builder, or ROMAC lumber? THAT’S WHY WE VOTED THE LIKES OF YOU OUT 4 YEARS AGO…STAY OUT! Find a different County to build on!

I think the key to successfully changing land use plans and overlays is, elect pro-grouth commissioners and eliminate the entire staff of the community development department. Starting with the dept.head down to the copy machine operator. And start over with a staff chosen with public input. Having Commisioners and staff setting on Compreensive Land Use hearings is the same as the fox guarding the hen house.
