WENDY and JOSH WIN!

BREEDEN & BLAKE WIN!

Tax Raising Career Politicians Conner and Cadwell Defeated

Political newcomers Wendy Breeden and Josh Blake shook Lake County’s political world as they ousted their long-term career political rivals.  In the race for the Lake County Commission District 5 seat Josh Blake defeated Welton Cadwell by 5,308 votes (or 19 points) — that is a landslide.  Wendy Breeden defeated controversial Lake County Commissioner District 3 Jimmy Conner by 1,475 votes (or almost 5 points).  Incumbent Lake County Commissioner District 1 Tim Sullivan disposed of South Lake challengers Tim Loucks and Mike Levine with 43.01% of the votes (or by 13 points).
What are the lessons learned from this election?

First, don’t put government before We the People.  Raising property taxes to give county employees a raise is something taxpayers will not tolerate.  Cutting crooked garbage deals, which cost taxpayers more while cutting their services is a dumb idea (stinky trash in the garage reminds them of this daily).  Having impact fees is one thing, but having the highest in the state of Florida—come on, don’t be stupid.  When Habitat for Humanity leaves your county because impact fees are too high then you have crossed the line.

Second, We the People aren’t stupid.  When you try to create some fraudulent issue about sand mines that doesn’t exist, people know better.  The reason why Lake County will probably wind up having sand mines is simple—over the last couple of years, Conner and Cadwell voted three times to authorize sand mines in South Lake County.  In addition, Lake County will probably lose the pending lawsuit to CEMEX because you cannot do selective enforcement of zoning.  This election was never about sand mines; rather, it was about Conner and Cadwell raising taxes.

Finally, in this economy where every job matters, how dumb was it for Conner to attack local companies with fraudulent accusations?  Conner’s flailing attacks were baseless, and he riled up an entire industry and group of voters who knew better.  Conner’s actions have set the business climate of Lake County back a decade.

Conner’s Corrupt Campaign

Conner ran one of the most corrupt campaigns in the history of Lake County.  While he was quick to point out money flowing to other Political Action Committees, he was gathering money from a consortium of high-dollar contributors out of Orange County that want to control the development in the Wellness Way and Wekiva Way areas.  Conner was literally selling Lake County to the highest bidder.

He was also petty in his corruptness.  A couple of days before the election he put out hundreds of red signs that stated, “Wendy Breeden is a Liberal.”  These red signs were placed in front and back of Breeden’s regular campaign signs.  In addition, he hired a group of out of work millennials to troll other campaign social media sites to say disparaging words about Breeden.  Plus he slandered every Hispanic citizen in Lake County by continuously stating that CEMEX is a Mexican company in an effort to “dog whistle” racism.  Telling the truth was not a strong part of Conner’s campaign.

What’s Next?

Lake County Commissioner District 2 Sean Parks remains the only Commissioner to have voted for the 14% property increase, the crooked garbage deal, and the impact fee increase to the highest in the state of Florida.  Don’t forget, Parks cast all of these votes after he ran unopposed in 2014.  Parks claimed to be a conservative Republican but then voted like a liberal Democrat.  Many Lake County voters feel that Parks double-crossed them.  We suspect that Sean Parks along with others will have a real political challenger in a couple of years.

  1. Ronald Reagan came up with a one-liner of his own devising-but one he had rehearsed beforehand. “There you go again,” he interjected as a way of conveying that president Carter was over reliant on that line of argument and was misrepresenting Reagan’s positions. The gambit disarmed Carter and proved so popular that Reagan reprised it in 1984 against Walter Mondale.

You say Welton Cadwell was elected 8 times? Are you counting his elected position of City Clerk of Umatilla which was a closely held secret? Rumor is that position was elected, but most people in town was not aware of that. Cadwell’s father held that elected position for several years and was well respected. After his death people urged Welton to follow in his footsteps.

I believe if you do your homework you will find Welton Cadwell was first elected to the BCC in 1992 at which time he became Lake County’s first ever full time Commissioner; reelected in 1996; 2000; 2004; 2008; 2012 and defeated in 2016.

Unless you are counting the rigged home town elections it appears he has been elected and reelected a total of six times to the BCC.

Or, maybe you are using that Common Core FUZZY math?

But, no matter what, at the end of the day, Hillary Clinton is right “what difference at this point and time does it make?” He is gone along with his partner Jimmy Conner – Remember Cadwell’s remark about comparing Jimmy to throwing a deck chair off the Titanic? Well Jimmy is gone too! And if the people of the cities and Lake County continue their awakening not only locally but Tallahassee and Washington as well they will continue to find the secret government installing their minions in every former public office throughout the United States. Mayor’s and city council people, judges, prosecutor’s are owned by the likes of Mel Sembler on the Republican side and George Schwartz Soros on the Democratic side – proving it is the CFR – Council on Foreign Relations that is the real government that pull the strings of these politicians. The American people need to put all politicians on notice – stop following the Elitists – Globalists and their puppets and start working for the American people who are working 2-3 jobs to survive while you politicians and your minions call us everything but a child of God and a human being.

Yawn…Cadwell was still elected 8 times so he must of been doing something right. Take your pity party some where else and shed your tears of wasteful knowledge now.

  3. Anonymous blogger that got so shaky and confused you pulled the trigger and posted your blog twice; please do not insult the integrity of the knowledgeable people of Lake County regarding the service of Welton Cadwell as their County Commissioner. He was elected county commissioner while being exposed to the media by a lady in his hometown of Umatilla while serving as their city official for excessive public funds expenditures while partying in Tallahassee at sure honky tonk’s as the Silver Slipper. Today they call that networking and building his contacts for the BCC job. Originally an undertaker – Cadwell was encouraged by friends and family to take the job previously held by his father as city administrator of Umatilla before easing into the BCC. Cadwell was immediately credited by courthouse watchers as the first full time commissioner by showing a daily presence in his part time office; always available. Kind of like Bob McKee in fact he rarely ever took a day away from his office.

Welton Cadwell was appointed directly as Chairman of the NEW CENTRAL FLORIDA EXPRESSWAY AUTHORITY –by Gov. Rick Scott – Government entities under the New World Order have of course ignored not only the Florida but The US Constitution for decades – they do what they want to do – then when they are caught like Hillary Clinton and so many thousands more, they just lie, lie and lie some more – because they know in a lawless state and nation the people have no place to go to complain.

WHO IS THE CENTRAL FLORIDA EXPRESSWAY AUTHORITY (CFX)? • Florida Legislators have pushed for a regional expressway system in central Florida for several years, recognizing that roads do not stop at county borders. • CFX has a Board of Directors made up of a majority of locally elected officials, strong ethics policies and the authority to consider other modes of transportation within the right-of-way of the expressway system. • CFX is a local independent special district agency of the state with a staff of 58 people; 98% privatized

SENATE BILL 230 • Signed into law by Gov. Scott on June 20, 2014. • Eliminated the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA) and created the new Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX). • All assets, liabilities, duties, responsibilities and obligations of OOCEA transfer to the new Central Florida Expressway Authority
CURRENT BOARD OFFICERS : Once the Governor makes his appointees, another election will be held. Commissioner Welton Cadwell Chairman Commissioner Scott Boyd Vice-Chairman Commissioner Brenda Carey Secretary/Treasurer.

DUAL OFFICE-HOLDING What is dual office-holding? Article II, section 5(a), of the Florida Constitution, provides: No person holding any office of emolument under any foreign government, or civil office of emolument under the United States or any other state, shall hold any office of honor or of emolument under the government of this state. No person shall hold at the same time more than one office under the government of the state and the counties and municipalities therein, except that a notary public or military officer may hold another office, and any officer may be a member of a constitution revision commission, taxation and budget reform commission, constitutional convention, or statutory body having only advisory powers. The constitutional provision addresses the accumulation of offices by a single individual and was fashioned to ensure that the same person would not simultaneously hold multiple offices. Underlying this objective was the concern that a conflict of interest would arise if one person simultaneously serves in two offices

The expressway are elected officials which Cadwell is now no longer. Cadwell spent 24 years in office, and all I’ve heard are issue’s from his past term. 24 years and no positive feed back from Lake County? Apparently Lake County never seem to have an issue with electing him back into office over the past 2 decades.
He made bad choices in taxes and garbage but I will give him a thank you for all the positive feedback throught his career and leave it at that.
And I hope all this hype from Josh and Wendy that I’ve seen is true. Neither one has ever held this type of position. If and when they drop the ball on issue’s that affect our money, we shouldn’t hear a peep from this page. All politicians have a hidden agenda, now it’s just a waiting game to see how bad or good of a choice the voters gave us.

  6. Just wondering since Cadwell only lost one of his two government jobs does this mean he can draw his retirement on the commission years while still working for the expressway authority at the same time? No wonder the disgruntled taxpayers call that double dipping.

This loss to Cadwell was only one of his TWO “official” government jobs. Rick Scott also appointed Cadwell as Chairman of the Central Florida Expressway Authority after Scott and the gang couldn’t get Steve Precourt appointed chairman of the old Orlando Expressway Authority. The old scheme that former board member Harvey Massey wrote the scathing letter to then Gov Charlie Crist concerning the corruption therein. Of course being the nice guy Mr. Massie is he though Charlie Crist would do something about all the corruption he exposed. He didn’t realize Crist was just one more son of Sembler and dating his son Brent, dancing on the bar at the Green Gable and boating the nights away. That’s how he got to first be Commissioner of Education, then Attorney General of Florida to cover up some bad child abuse for Sembler and then on to Governor of Florida where he and Jim Greer stepped on the wrong toes, then it was off to the other side of the dynasty. Now he’s kind of like that paper guy that fell down the steps he’s gone.

Rick Scott has made a lifetime career of merging corrupt organizations from one entity into another for his friends and partners beginning with International Medical Centers into Columbia Hospitals and then into Tenet Healthcare where he and his partners are collecting billions from Medicare fraud to this very day.

  7. Frank Westgate says:

Please furnish your official findings that shows which county workers benefited by our property tax raises, I would like to address these issue’s. Thank you, Frank Westgate Groveland
