Democrat Newspaper Endorses RINOs

Posted by admin

Endorsed Obama Two Years Ago

Why Should Lake Voters Trust Them Now?

The liberal, bankrupt newspaper the Orbama Slantinel endorses again the same anti-growth/business bunch for Commissioner in Lake County, but we don’t know if their endorsements are really worth that much.  Don’t forget this is what the Orbama Slantinel said about Barack Obama when they endorsed him less than two years ago on October 19, 2008:

Mr. Obama would add only slightly less to the deficit through his spending proposals than Mr. McCain would through the tax cuts he’s promising.

The Illinois senator has a better plan than the Arizona senator for expanding health-care coverage.

If the Illinois senator shows the same knack for staying on top of events as president that he has demonstrated in his campaign, he will pare back his plans to meet the imperative of shrinking the federal deficit.

The Orbama Slantinel said Obama would only slightly add to the deficit; and that he had a better plan for healthcare; but more importantly, they suggested he would stay on top of things to ensure the federal deficit is reduced.  Well, none of that happened of course, and in fact, they could have not been more wrong.  In fact, most Americans now say the Obama administration has been a total disaster, so how much value is an endorsement from the Orbama Slantinel?  Lake County voted for John McCain overwhelmingly; yes, the voters of Lake County were right and the Orbama Slantinel was wrong.

Lake County Republican voters, ask yourself the Ronald Reagan question: “Are you better off than you were four years ago?”  If you live in Lake County and you haven’t lost your job or seen your pay cut then the Slantinel endorsement may be for you.  If you live in Lake County and your property values haven’t declined or home has not been foreclosed, then the status quo is probably pretty good for you.  If you live in Lake County and you are not one of the thousands of landowners or farmers in South Lake who just got wiped out by Elaine Renick’s South Lake Strategic Land Plan, then things may look different for you.

Less than two years ago, the Orbama Slantinel was extolling the virtues of Barack Obama. How is that hope and change thing working for you now?  There is no doubt why the Orbama Slantinel endorsed the anti-growth Commission candidates in Lake County: They share the same liberal values as Obama.  Lake County Republicans, are you going to trust an endorsement from a bankrupt newspaper that endorsed Barack Obama over Republican John McCain less than two years ago? Every Lake County candidate that the Orbama Slantinel has endorsed is anti-growth, anti-business, but most importantly, not a true Republican conservative.  Don’t forget, this is a Republican Primary, why would you accept the recommendations of a liberal Democrat newspaper?

The link between Elaine Renick and Linda Stewart to the Democrat Party is crystal clear.  These two Commissioners were the ones who put Democrats in charge of the Local Planning Agency and the Impact Fee Committee.  Two weeks ago, Renick’s campaigning was actively calling for Democrats to switch to the Republican Party so they would vote for her.  Democrat Commission candidate Egor Emery actually was the one to ensure Stewart got qualified and he has been rewarded with a seat on the Affordable Housing Committee.  At the Lake Leadership Hob Nob, almost the same percentage of Democrat votes cast for Democrat candidates voted for Renick and Stewart.  It makes sense that a Democrat liberal newspaper like the Orbama Slantinel would try to tell Republicans who they should vote for.  In Lake County, Democrats wear masks so they can get elected and a liberal, bankrupt Democrat newspaper tries to tell conservative Republicans who to vote for.

Four years ago, this newspaper endorsed the same anti-growth/business crowd, and since then Lake County has plunged into economic darkness and despair.  Less than two years ago, the Orbama Slantinel told you the best person for President was Barack Obama- most agree they were wrong then and they are wrong now.

Every conservative Republican candidate in Central Florida that has been shafted by the Orbama Slantinel should send this newsletter to their constituents.  This newspaper is a proven talking point for the Democrat Party.  If you would like to make a comment, please go to www.lakecountygov.info.  Please pass this newsletter to everyone on your email list.

In the 2008 Republican Primary the Orbama Slantinel endorsed John McCain but in the general election, where it counted, they endorsed Obama. Rubio and the Republican nominee for governor better not count on this democrat paper for their endorsement.

The same families that own the Federal Reserve also own all the lame stream media in America!
Like those who feed the pigeons in Central Park, they throw us what they want us to have! They throw a little of their free money out there for us to play with! Play Money! If you notice lately the fed is loaning out money at zero to less than .01% to banks, Problem is people on the street can’t qualify to borrow any of it after they run it through all the processes to make it consumer ready! So, since these same nice people that conned the US currency from the hands of the people by conning the corrupt congress into this scam by offering congressmen pay for four days per week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Many present congressmen continue to take advantage of this sweet deal! The Fed then takes all of their non-taxible profits from all this interest taxpayers pay on this national debt and interest from member banks on loans to other nations and businesses and invests this “free money” into media outlets to feed the pigeons the necessay information on which politicians to vote for (you know the usually the ones who support their causes and socialist issues) right down to city halls and county and state governements! They are very smart and are usually able to control elections by funneling monies to their candidates through other organizations which do not throw up red flags! They do not necessarily support candidates of any particular party as long as they can control that person. Thanks to this influence we are now suffering from an almost total corruption of government from city hall to Washington. If we do not awaken enough of the people to educate themselves to these matters the once great county will suffer the demise of Rome! In reality we are presently burning and have been burning now for several years! AS you can see, no one cares until the sparks, smoke or flames strike them or their loved ones! It seems we will heve to be deep in the pits before the sheeple come to realize their fate!

  3. receiving an endorsement from the largest and most respected newspaper in central florida is coveted by every
candidate running, including parks and campione. i am sure that a few of the other candidates that were also
endorsed like Rubio, McCollum and Webster would disagree with the right side of the lake’s comments.
congrats to Stewart and Renick for a well deserved endorsement.

I love it. The Orbama slantinel also endorsed Rubio, Webster, and McCollem. do you classify them as democrat, antigrowth? You tell so many lies you can’t keep them all straight. No wonder only the same 8 (maybe) people still believe in your website. Everyone is catching on to the fact that you really only care about one thing – selling building materials. Truth does not matter. Even the most blinded fools are finally seeing through you. Aug. 24th, you’re history.

Again with the lie that the commission is anti-business. You must drink the kool-aide served by this site. All the serving commissioners are Pro-business. Renick in particular is against endless tracts of single family houses in our rural areas, but not commercial or industrial development. Her voting record bears this out. At best she voted against one commercial project and that was because most of the community did not want it. If your going to plce labels at least explain why.

The Sentinel is one of the few surviving free presses with remnants of real thinking left out there.

Say all that you can that they are slanted to the left, but so sorry, they are not. It is truly a well-balanced publication.

It is more and more troubling how big money can buy an election.

I can only hope and pray that this does not happen in Lake County this year as we have finally been making progress toward a better future for all residents.

  7. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between what this site does and what they are claiming the Orlando Sentinel does? Sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black!

What is so wrong with business? If you listen to Lauren Ritchie or Elaine Renick, anyone that has anything to do with business is the enemy of everyone in Lake County. You would think you were listening to a White House press release. May I be so bold, as to remind them that business provides our jobs, subsidizes our tax base and produces products that we all use.

Business is not the enemy. Irresponsible politicians that are too tied to their radical ideology are the enemy of the Citizens of Lake County. Commissioners have to be forward thinking and see what impacts their votes may cause. It is not enough to say all growth must stop. You must then say, what are the consequences of those actions? In our case, the consequences of Elaine Renick’s “No Growth” position are dire.

We need new businesses that produce jobs for our citizens and will help to stabilize our tax base. By her actions, Ms. Renick clearly opposes new business growth.

Wow! Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. The more you folks rant the more I like Renick and Stewart. I am amazed at how much power you give them credit for having. I sure want someone like that on my side and watching my back. What’s next? How about blaming them for the horrible flooding in Pakistan, or maybe the devasting wild fires in Russia? Maybe THEY pulled the plug in the Gulf. Get real!

I am sure the headline would have been the same if Campione/Parks had been endorsed right?

This website is really getting sad. Can you possibly lose more credit with the people of this county?
