NOTIFICATION AND ADVERTISING

During last week’ Horizon 2030 Comprehensive Land Plan public hearing at the Board of County Commission (BOCC) meeting, Commission Renick created a proposed new policy I-1.48 South Lake Strategic Plan for South Lake County (Click Here for Text). If you read last Thursday’s Right Side of the Lake, you found out that Renick announced the policy to her no-growth friends via an email at 4:38 pm the day before the hearing, it was never published on the county’s website, and she intentionally manipulated the process in the absence of Commission Chairman Welton Cadwell. During the public hearing, she gave unlimited speaking time to those she had notified on her email list, and in the process rolled Commissioner Jimmy Conner who was played like a worn out fiddle.
